A safety device installed at strategic locations in marina fuel piping that is designed to separate when excessive pulling force is placed on the pipe. Valves within the safety break automatically close when the breakaway separates, minimizing the release of fuel from the piping.
A safety break is intended to protect the piping from damage when a floating dock moves beyond the design limits.
