The PEI Electrical Vehicle Charging Installation at Motor Fueling Facilities Committee has developed a document titled Recommended Practices for Installation of Electrical Vehicle Charging at Motor Fueling Facilities (PEI/RP1800-25).
PEI is developing the document as an industry service in response to requests for a single authoritative source of information on EV Charging installation practices at a motor fueling facility.
The purpose of the document is to provide a basic reference that gives authoritative guidance on the design and installation of electrical vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) and information to support the maintenance and operation of EV chargers when collocated at motor fueling facilities. The practice provides recommendations for materials, designs, and installation procedures suitable for a wide variety of light and medium duty vehicle EV charging environments, including: attended motor fuel dispensing facilities, unattended motor fuel dispensing facilities, and fleet motor fuel dispensing facilities.
