How to Apply
- Determine which PEI membership type most closely represents your business.
- Corporate. Open to companies that manufacture, install, service, distribute or repair energy handling equipment.
- Individual. Sometimes applies if your company stores, dispenses or distributes motor fuel.
- Click Apply to begin. The membership process begins when you submit your completed application.

Corporate
Annual dues are based on annual sales. Dues begin at $495 a year.

Individual
Members of the Operations & Engineering (O&E) category are individuals. Dues are $215 a year. Scroll down to view eligibility requirements.
Corporate Divisions
To be eligible for PEI membership, your company must meet the requirements for the division to which it seeks admittance and the general requirements:
- Have a business interest in energy handling equipment as a manufacturer, distributor, installation and service contractor, manufacturers representative, export manager, etc.
- Have been in business for at least a year as a corporation, partnership or proprietorship.
Distributor
To qualify, you must:
- Maintain an office and a warehouse.
- Stock a representative line of equipment.
- Maintain adequate stock of parts for equipment stocked.
- Perform billing and credit functions.
Manufacturer
To qualify, you must:
- Manufacture equipment for the energy handling market.
- Sell products manufactured through distributors.
Service & Construction
To qualify, you must:
- Provide service or maintenance products or solutions related to the energy handling market.
- Provide construction, installation or both for energy handling equipment.
Affiliate
To qualify, you must:
- Have a business interest in the energy handling equipment industry.
- Not qualify for another membership division.
Individual
Individual membership is available to individuals who own or operate fuel storage systems. Members of the Operations & Engineering (O&E) category are individuals. Dues are $205 a year.
Operations & Engineering
To qualify, you must:
- Be an individual who is employed by a company that stores, transports, meters or supports the energy handling industry.
